I had resolved to put my crafting into words and pictures,  and have only managed to put up a picture of one of my my favourite places –  New York City
Since the new year,  I have been madly completing and partaking in KAL’s –  to much pressure they stress me,  despite the fact that I knit,  I don’t like to think that I have

Hello.. My name is Karen and I am a forty something year old Irish girl, living now in Australia with my husband Peter, and my three daughters Jasmine, Megan and Misha, and of course my darling sons, Bailey my minature schnauzer and Oliver my cat. The 2 later I am sure that I will mention a lot – they are adorable little mummy’s boys.

I am a nurse who specialised in oncology and palliative care, but in recent years in the management and coordination of clinical trials based in a hospital , and  recently now at  the University of Melbourne in Bone and Mineral Research. But this will not be the subject of this blog…..

My main interest or should I say obsession is yarn !!!!  in every form possible. I have been crafting from I was a child, with the main ones being sewing,  knitting and occasional crochet, cross stitch and tapestry, and more recently spinning both on wheels and spindles.

I want to utlise this blog as both a yarn diary, and a place to consolidate my thoughts pictures and general everyday knitty  life
